Kanonaki and laouto shape the album's plucked core, with politiki lyra drawing supple lines across their steady resonance. Handbells and light frame percussion mark asymmetrical steps, while clarinet, island violin, or reed drone occasionally widen the regional color. Inward modal stillness gradually acquires the turning lift of ballos, syrtos, and slower dance forms, always without forcing the tempo.
