Dry gabusi motifs lead with a warm, carved tone, and the ndzendze answers in alternating box-zither patterns. Tari strokes and a softly layered ngoma ensemble give those strings a processional footing, from light taps to rounded low accents. The pacing slips naturally between close 3/4, loose 4/4, and restrained 6/8, while the texture balances plucked clarity with skin, wood, and faint metallic glints.
