Oud and qanun trade finely cut phrases across a low, steady rhythmic bed, while the nay opens long breaths between them. Violin lines add weight and warmth without turning the arrangements ornate, and the riqq marks time with restrained flashes of metal and skin. A close night-room opening gradually widens toward the Nile, measured in pace yet alive with small internal turns. Each texture is allowed to decay fully, so plucked strings, reed tone, and percussion remain distinct.
