Marimba de arco supplies a woody, resonant center, its repeating figures softened by guitar and the light scrape of güiro. Pito and tambor introduce a processional contour, while slower chanchona-derived bass motion gives several pieces a grounded rural sway. The pacing favors dusk over daylight: measured steps, open courtyards, distant brass, and small changes in pulse.
