Lali slit drum sets out broad wooden signals, then derua bamboo tubes and cobo handclaps turn the pulse into something lighter and more intricate. Guitar and ukulele bring a rounded string-band warmth, while passing harmonium and dholak colors open another rhythmic perspective. Collective meke patterns lead into village verandas, coastal evenings, and softly swaying dance rhythms.
