Kundu drums carry taut hand-held motion beneath garamut strikes that travel across Sepik distance.

Kundu drums carry a hand-held pulse of open tones and taut slaps, while seed rattles and bamboo clappers make the surrounding motion audible. Garamut enters with heavier, speech-like wooden strikes, giving Sepik passages a wider sense of distance and scale. Conch calls mark only a few major openings; elsewhere, breathy bamboo tones and jaw-harp resonance leave the texture deliberately porous. The album ranges from dense Highlands step cycles to quieter Bosavi and island string colours, treating each change as a new balance of body, wood, breath, and space.
