Two acoustic guitars trade long, ornamented phrases, leaving cadential pauses where violin and accordion can answer in a softer voice. The żaqq changes the air completely: its steady drone and compact reed turns bring a grainier village edge, grounded by tanbur rather than heavy percussion. Elsewhere, the low rub of żafżafa and the polished rise of festa brass create a striking contrast between intimate rooms and public streets.
