Turning the light, kora figures float above bolon's deep buzz and slow calabash sway.

Kora patterns flow in two directions at once, pairing low repeating figures with quick treble answers that seem to turn the light. Beneath them, bolon gives the music a deep buzzing gravity, while balafon replies with dry wooden notes and resonant gourd colour. Karignan and calabash keep a fine-grained clock through slow 12/8 and gently swaying four-beat cycles. The set ranges from close, conversational string pieces to broader Bamako ensembles, where desert guitar and ngoni add lean counterlines without crowding the central pulse.
