Dark, abrupt gusle lines yield to frula breaths and a lighter Adriatic shimmer.

Gusle gives the album a rough, concentrated centre, bowing narrow modal lines that pause abruptly before each return. Frula answers with short breaths of melody, while frame drum and wooden taps turn highland weight into restrained five- and seven-beat patterns. Farther south, accordion and tambura loosen the phrasing around Lake Skadar, and mandolin brings a lighter Adriatic shimmer to Boka Kotorska. The contrast between dark bowed resonance, dry mountain pulse, and coastal chamber colour makes the set feel compact but dramatically varied.
