Uhadi overtones face dry maskandi guitar and a swinging ghoema drum.

Uhadi and umrhubhe open a field of overtones, their bowed resonance set against the dry articulation of maskandi guitar. Pennywhistle and piano then bring kwela and marabi into sharper urban focus, while ghoema drum and brass add a Cape processional swing. Sparse bow tones gradually yield to interlocking mbaqanga drive, with bass carrying the transitions. Rural resonance, township cyclic harmony, and city-street rhythm remain audibly different, yet they converse through recurring patterns of pulse and response.
