Box drum and handclaps create the album's rhythmic core, with shell rattles and foot percussion adding dry, shifting edges. Rather than relying on lush harmony, the music develops through placement: a strike answered across the room, a pulse deepened by collective movement, a pause that resets the pattern. Mwaneaba space, outer-island wood, church voicing, bamboo-flute memory, and Tarawa string-band warmth appear in carefully separated scenes.
