Low board drum and wooden sticks build the album from tactile, sharply separated sounds, with shell rattles filling the spaces between each return. Bamboo flute offers short descending lines, while ukulele stays spare and drone-like beneath the percussion. Yap pieces favour interlocked clicks and sudden stops; Chuuk brings oar-like knocks and conch cues, and Pohnpei settles into slower communal cycles. Kosrae reed-organ voicing adds a softer harmonic contrast, giving the set a broad island geography while keeping its pacing compact, dry, and attentive.
