Port Louis warmth gathers around ravanne circles, maravanne's sandy rustle, and bobre overtones.

Ravanne strokes form slow circular patterns, with maravanne turning the upper register into a soft, sandy rustle. Against that pulse, bobre bends a single string into vocal-like overtones, and triangle places small points of light at the cadences. Rodrigues frame-drum weight and Indo-Mauritian dholak colour broaden the rhythmic range while preserving plenty of air between gestures. Later Port Louis pieces add muted brass, bass, and dry guitar, giving the album a warmer urban edge without disturbing its intimate Indian Ocean flow.
