Timbila carries the album in bright interlocking rows, upper melodies answering low wooden ostinatos through the dry buzz of gourd resonators. Nyunga-nyunga mbira narrows that energy into close metallic cycles, while ngoma drums place broad, patient markers underneath. Maputo guitar adds clipped warmth and a soft 6/8 undertow; the xitende musical bow bends isolated cadence tones at the quieter edge of the set. Chopi ensemble depth, Tete plucked detail, and coastal frame-drum colour keep the pacing varied without breaking its clear, grounded flow.
