Spare kayagŭm plucks cross grainy haegŭm lines beneath distant, suspended cadences.

Kayagŭm begins with spare plucked figures, their aftertones crossed by the grainier sustained line of haegŭm. Piri adds a firm reed contour, while janggu moves between free, speech-like spacing and a more regular pulse without forcing the melody into a rigid grid. Northwestern Susimga-tori inflection brings long phrases, narrow pitch fields, and cadences that seem to arrive from a distance. Later ensemble passages broaden the register, but the album keeps returning to the tension between breath, pluck, and bowed resonance.
